Full-service coverage for construction lifecycle

We are one of the few international law firms in Hong Kong with a full-service construction practice. Our team covers both non-contentious and contentious areas of construction projects - from project finance and contract negotiation phases, claims management to the later dispute resolution phases. The team also specialises in regulatory work in relation to the safety and environmental prosecutions and competition law.

Our front-end construction lawyers anticipate the practical and legal issues of a project, advising on contracts and risk management strategies on all aspects of major building, engineering and infrastructure projects. Having worked on many of the successful BOT, EPC, EPCM, and DBO projects globally, our team provide effective solutions in all aspects of the negotiation, documentation and administration of complex construction projects.

In a dispute, our back-end construction lawyers have extensive experience in all facets of major project dispute resolution, including mediation, conciliation and other alternative dispute resolution processes. We are highly experienced in litigation, arbitration and adjudication, backed by one of the largest dispute resolution teams in Hong Kong. Many of our construction lawyers are accredited arbitrators and mediators with leading international arbitration and mediation institutions.

As clients expand their business reach, we draft dispute resolution clauses and help resolve disputes arising in cross-border transactions. The unique combination of our PRC and international footprint enables us to advise on construction related matters within and beyond Asia Pacific. We are involved in major infrastructure and energy projects in the six Economic Corridors under the BRI: Moscow-Kazan high-speed railway project in the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor to connect China and Russia, the China-Laos railway project and the China-Thailand railway project in the China-Indo-China Peninsula Economic Corridor, and the Pakistani Matiari-Lahore HVDC project in the China- Pakistan Economic Corridor.
